Description: Examples of how Museums for Peace around the world have revised their ways of working in the context of the global pandemic. Challenges such as diminished attendance, fewer schools groups, less personnel are discussed. Examples of best practices are highlighted.

Instructor: Conxa Roda (Co-director of the Postgraduate Course in Digital Strategy_ UOC_ Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, SPAIN).
Description: The Digital Transformation is a process, a journey that affects the whole museum. Transitioning to be a more open and social organization is not achieved without some sharp difficulties. These two sessions will approach some of the barriers and provide some clues to overcome them, especially during and after the pandemic.
Topics in SESSION 1: MUSEUMS IN THE DIGITAL AGE will include: (a) strategies, audience and content; (b) what does Digital Transformation mean for museums?; (c) the impact of COVID-19 on Digital Transformation; and (d) the main components of the Digital Transformation (part 1).
In SESSION 2: COMPONENTS OF THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION (PART 2), the main components of Digital Transformation, including the organization, technology, websites will be discussed in further detail.
